Christina and Louis Quilico Awards

Internationally known pianist and recording artist, Christina Petrowska Quilico, established the Christina and Louis Quilico Award to honour the memory of her late husband, renowned baritone Louis Quilico.

In addition to his extensive stage career, Louis Quilico taught at the Faculty of Music of the University of Toronto, McGill University, the Philadelphia Academy of Vocal Arts, and the Glenn Gould School. Christina decided that an award intended to encourage young musicians in the formative part of their careers would be a fitting tribute to Louis’ commitment to training the next generation of artists.

The Christina and Louis Quilico Awards are presented every two years and recognize outstanding young singers.
