Greg Sorbara is a Principal of Sorbara Group of Companies; an Ontario based land development and property management business organization, specializing in commercial, industrial and residential developments in the Greater Toronto Area.
Greg served as a Member of Provincial Parliament in the Ontario Legislature for 21 years and held numerous cabinet positions, including Minister of Finance, Minister of Consumer and Commercial Relations, Minister of Labour & Minister Responsible for Women’s Issues and Minister of Colleges and Universities & Minister of Skills Development.
In the private sector, Greg has previously served on the Board of the Business Development Bank of Canada, The United Way of York Region, and Royal Group Technologies Ltd. Greg was appointed Chancellor at York University in June 2014, (his alma mater - Glendon College and Osgoode Hall Law School). He is the Chair Emeritus of Mackenzie Health Foundation Campaign Cabinet and sits on the Board of Luminato Festival.
He and his wife, Kate, reside in Richmond Hill and have six children and fifteen grandchildren.
